Class
C Motorhome
Class
C motorhomes are larger than the Class B's, yet smaller
than the Class A's.
These
mid-range motorhomes offer many of the advantages of
bigger motorhomes, yet generally take up less space
and are easier to handle on some roads. They are easier
to drive and maneuver than the average Class A motorhome,
they are essentially a motorhome body stuck on a van
chassis, an overgrown truck camper.
Class
C Motorhomes :: Advantages
Generally,
easy to drive and handle, especially on winding roads.
Many models are fully appointed and quite luxurious.
These units are usually outfitted for 4-6 passengers,
although some units are built to cater for less.
Most models offer easy access from the cockpit to the
cabin, even when the vehicle is in motion. Big enough
to pack in just about anything, there is no need to
leave any of your belongings at the camper park when
you go shopping or sightseeing.
Class
C Motorhomes :: Disadvantages
The
main disadvantage of the Class A motorhomes is the exact
opposite of their main advantage: you have to haul your
belongings around with you wherever you go.
They are not designed as a commuting vehicle, so if
you are considering buying one, it won't make a great
second family car. The average driver might find it
difficult to maneuver in urban areas, where roads and
parking facilities are designed for much smaller vehicles.
