Add More Water to Your Empty Black Water RV Holding Tanks

by Brad & Lori
(Traveling through New Mexico)

To make things "run smoother" (no pun intended) at the RV dumping station we recommend that you added enough water to completely cover the bottom of your RV holding tank, each time you empty it. When we first started out we made the mistake of not adding enough water to our holding tank, this made the process of emptying our tank much more difficult because the waste dried up. When we where not adding enough water to the empty tank we also noticed a more intense and foul smelling oder. Just some thoughts and observations from us to you.
